Vandalic War

The Byzantine campaign of 533–534 in which Belisarius defeated the Vandal Kingdom in North Africa and restored the region to imperial rule.

Belisarius: A Byzantine general under Justinian I who led the campaign against the Vandal Kingdom in North Africa. His expeditionary force won the campaign despite being far smaller than the Vandal army.
Justinian I: Byzantine emperor from 527 to 565 who pursued military reconquest and legal reform across the empire. He authorized the campaign as part of his effort to recover former Roman territories.
Praetorian prefecture of Africa: A Byzantine administrative unit established in North Africa after the conquest of the Vandal Kingdom. It organized the newly recovered provinces under imperial civil administration.
