Wetland restoration

Wetland restoration repairs degraded wetlands to recover characteristic water regimes, native vegetation, and ecological functions such as habitat provision and water filtration.

Hydrologic restoration: The repair or re-establishment of natural water levels, flows, and seasonal flooding in an ecosystem. Recreating the wetland’s water regime is often the central step that enables other recovery.
