William I of the Netherlands

William I was the first king of the Netherlands, reigning from 1815 to 1840 after ruling as sovereign prince from 1813.

Congress of Vienna: The 1814–1815 diplomatic settlement that redrew Europe after Napoleon’s defeat. Its settlement created the United Kingdom of the Netherlands under William.
