Yang Jian

Yang Jian (541–604), known posthumously as Emperor Wen of Sui, founded the Sui dynasty in 581 and reunified China in 589.

Northern Zhou: A Chinese dynasty that ruled much of northern China from 557 to 581. Yang Jian served as regent for its young emperor before taking the throne.
