Battle of Moscow

A 1941–1942 campaign on the Eastern Front in which Soviet forces stopped Germany’s advance on Moscow and drove German troops back from the city.

Operation Barbarossa: The German invasion of the Soviet Union launched on 22 June 1941. Its stalled advance created the conditions for the fight over Moscow.
