Sima Guang

Sima Guang (1019–1086) was a Song dynasty historian and statesman who compiled the comprehensive Chinese chronicle Zizhi Tongjian, spanning more than a millennium of history.

Zizhi Tongjian: A Chinese chronicle covering history from 403 BCE to 959 CE, compiled under Sima Guang’s direction. This vast work made Sima Guang’s name enduring as a historian.
